You've probably already heard through the Internet, radio or on Fox TV News how bad the economy is. David Letterman joked the economy is so bad that "Barak Obama got 800 billion to fix the economy, thank you Oprah!" Another said the economy is so bad that there are a lot of things on sale for this upcoming Easter. You can buy a dining table, a queen-sized mattress or all of General Motors." Jay Leno remarked that "Times are so bad that six of OctoMom's 14 kids are already working for Nike." My suggestion is to try to lighten up and encourage the people you meet to think on a more positive level. Try it sometime. The next time that someone starts to complain about how bad the economy is, stop them dead in their tracks. Tell them that the economy will be back in full swing come June 2009. How do I know this? I don't, really. But I'm going out on a limb. I'm saying that June 2009 is when the economy is going to start to click and things will really start to happen. You should too. Why?

I don't, really. But I'm going out on a limb. I'm saying that June 2009 is when the economy is going to start to click and things will really start to happen. You should too. Why? How do I know this? I don't, actually. But I've read enough self-help books like Think and Grow Rich to know that everything starts with a single idea. Edison, for example had to conceive a thought about the incandescent light bulb before it became a reality, didn?t he? Alexander Graham Bell had to imagine a voice speaking in another room before it became true. That's because thoughts are things, incredibly powerful things that trigger the mind into thinking ways and means of how something can be done. When you start to believe something can change,it creates a chain reaction for doing so. So why not imagine a big June 2009 with making lots of money! In my real estate business, it means I visualize buyers showing up in platoons at my open houses. I see multiple offers being faxed to me on all my listings. I envision writing many purchase agreements and foresee that I'll be opening lots of escrows quickly and easily. If you don't think this will work, I know how you feel. Many people have felt this way, that the economy is in too deep for anybody to want to purchase property. What we have found however, is that when you create a firm deadline for something to happen, that you will work harder to make the goal a reality. It's sort of like the joke about the blonde on the airplane. A beautiful young blonde woman boards a plane heading to New York. She's holding a ticket for the economy section, but when she gets to her seat, she looks into the forward cabin and decides to take one of them. The flight attendant noticing her sitting in first class, tells the girl to return to her original place but the blonde refuses to do so. Troubled, the flight attendant asks her flight manager what to do. The flight manager says that he has a blonde girlfriend, and not to worry. He approaches the beauty and whispers something in her ear. She immediately rises, says "Thank you so much, now I understand". After hugging him, she returns to her seat in the economy section. The flight attendant is stunned and asked the flight manager what he had said to the woman. He smiles and says, "I just told her that the first class section isn't going to New York." Like the flight manager, tell everyone you meet the positive outcome that you expect to happen, and like the airline flight manager, some amazing and wonderful things can result for you!
