Women make up about 56 % of the workforce in almost all sectors. They contribute more than a third to their economies and have the potential to lead the world towards greater good. Yet they are often targets of deep rooted gender bias. Many skillful women disappeared in to oblivion when less deserving male colleagues were favored to climb up the progress ladder.

Women are often subjected to gender bias at work and business. They are given roles which emphasize gender differences and their progress is often shunned by their superiors. In service oriented industries, women are given slow growing profiles which get them no where after years of toil. Even the best of them must have experienced bias at some point. There is a call for change now and it is getting stronger at all levels. Some policy changes have brought much required relief to the business woman. On the other hand, there are Women have blitzkrieged their way in the world of business. Their multiple roles and the demands of family management don't seem to bog them down. Their ability to multi task has made them achieve much in very little time. That doesn't mean women are ok with male hegemony. Men have caused too much damage already and women had to pay the price as well. They don't want to take it anymore. Gender issues have denied women access to resources necessary for development. There have been initiatives but most of them have been half hearted efforts and have not achieved what they set out achieve. Many countries argue that development and the needs of the community must come first, rather than providing a preferential focus on women's development needs and their rights. Hence, women will not only lack business management skills but also business development/marketing skills and a business network. Women have proved that they are just as good as men if not better and their functioning as individuals or groups should not be subject to gender prejudice. Women have to be acknowledged.
