When you are diagnosed with a problem most medical doctors will want to remove the problem, or correct it with surgery, or they may want to burn or poison it if it is a tumor or parasite. Almost every form of treatment today does one of those things to something in the body, but chiropractors don't do any of those things. Due to the fact that nearly all patients walk out without any significant injury or recovery time, they fall under suspicion with many people. The mission of any chiropractor or chiropractic treatment is to guide the body into healing itself through corrective treatment that doesn't involve damaging or drastic forms of treatment as initial forms as much as possible.

As more and more people are healed by chiropractic treatment, the ranks of its satisfied customers grows to irrefutable numbers and demands the attention of the entire medical community.

The satisfaction of being treated by a form of medicine that doesn't involve injuring you in some way is enormous, so much so that many people don't even mind that they don't know exactly how it works. Even though there are more chiropractors than there are general practitioners, it is still a very in demand type of medical field. Many other forms of treatment require the patient to use drugs, but chiropractic treatment is drug free which draws an even larger audience.

What make up chiropractic?

The word "chiropractic" is a composition of the Greek word "cheir" which means hand, and "Praxis" meaning practice. This gives a bit of insight into the actual practice being that it is done with very well trained hands and involves signification action while adjusting clients.

Sometimes joints will become rigid and lose range of motion, so a chiropractor will forcefully move the joint in order to align it appropriately to free up nerve signals from the spine. These adjustments are called "manipulations" and are designed and intended to position the bones in a joint at the correct locations.

Is A Chiropractor A Normal MD?

Chiropractors work their way through many of the same anatomy and physiology classes that any other medical doctor does. The number of laboratory, clinical and classroom hours for each chiropractor is 4200 hours. Upon completed the rigorous undergraduate study, every chiropractors moves on to complete their doctorate degree, which involves learning the same difficult and complex knowledge that any other medical professional is required to know.

I guess the biggest difference would be the application of the material learned. Most doctors are trained in pharmacology and the chiropractors are trained in spine health.
