Did you know that a staggering 95% or more of people that start a home business fail? That's a damning statistic in anyone's language. Lucky for me, before I partnered with a company called LifePath Unlimited I did my due diligence and discovered some pretty valuable knowledge as to the main reasons to explain why the vast majority of people fail in starting their own home based business. Since doing that research, as I worked my my own LifePath Unlimited business, I came to know through experience the wisdom of the points I am about to share.

Firstly, people join the wrong company. There are three key areas that you need to get right, namely: the compensation plan, the product and support. The compensation plan needs to provide generous commissions to offset the cost of advertising and to enable you to make a six figure income as soon as possible. The product you sell needs to be world class and be able to stand alone in its own right. That will help you greatly to feel passionate about the product. Finally most people who join home based businesses are inexperienced marketers. Therefore the company you choose must have a good support/mentoring/training system in place. On all three counts, LifePath Unlimited comes out a winner.

The second reason why people fail in running their own home business is that too many of them are looking for an opportunity to get rich quick rather than to do what it takes to really build a substantial company that will last. Right now as a business partner with LifePath Unlimited I am working each day and building a real business with real people.

Thirdly, lack of self belief. Many experts say that the number one reason for people failing to achieve their goals in life is a lack of self belief rooted in faulty thinking like Im too fat, Im too old, Im not smart enough, I'll never be able to sell anything etc. It is easier to give up and believe your own excuses rather than to persevere and do what it takes. Through my experience with LifePath Unlimited I determined to overcome my lack of computing expertise by committing to a sharp learning curve.

Fourthly, shifting blame to others. Whenever human beings face a problem it is far easier to find someone to blame rather than being a problem solver. Since joining LifePath Unlimited I have come across countless victim stories of people whining and complaining about the faults and wrong doings of others rather than deciding to get on with the job of being successful. Dont get me wrong, there are heaps of scams out there that need to be exposed.

Finally, some people are not coach able. Unfortunately there are people who clearly want to be successful in doing a home based business and who lack the experience or the credentials but are not willing to listen to, observe, model and learn from others. Is it because of pride? Laziness? Its anybodys guess. From my experience with LifePath Unlimited I chose someone half my age to be my mentor and who exemplifies what it means to be a great student. She happens to be one of the top performers in the company.

So where to from here? In doing your due diligence, make sure you choose a company that offers great commissions, products and an excellent support/mentoring/training system. Determine within yourself to not seek to get something for nothing. Be prepared to do what it takes to be successful. By going down this path you will naturally develop strong self belief since you are committed to a step learning curve. Finally, be the one who takes responsibility and be one who listens, learns and inherits from others. Since partnering with LifePath Unlimited, this is the person I see when I look into the mirror each day.
