Would you like to have a longer and more fruitful life? If so, please do not fall for all the snake oil solutions out there.

A much better approach is to make small changes day in and day out that will have a compounding effect over time. This is more sustainable and more realistic than expecting an overnight anti aging cure.

You see, aging doesn't happen overnight, so why expect to reverse it overnight? If you have these types of expectations, you will continually disappointed!

So, without further delay, here are some super-foods that can help you live longer:

1. Nuts: Don't be turned off by their high fat content because fat is necessary to optimize levels of hormones in your body and to help your nervous system repair itself. For the biggest bang for your buck, stick to walnuts since they have high amounts of heart healing omega-3 fats.

2. Organic cocoa: Harvard researchers found that an indigenous sector of a population drinking cocoa had less heart disease than the same population not drinking cocoa. The key here is to stay away from the commercial formulations as they tend to be loaded with sugar and fat.

3. Marine fat: You don't have to stick with fish to get healthy marine fat. However, for sake of simplicity your best bet is wild salmon. You can also have sardines and oysters as they are low in toxins but high in bio available omega-3's. As an added bonus, most marine sources of protein are high in vitamin D.

4. Spirits: Alcohol, specifically red wine, does a great job at making your arteries more pliable-a good thing. The main issue here, however, is that once you go over one glass you are going to get a negative return on your drinking. So keep the red wine under strict tabs.

If you really want to increase your length of life in a sustainable and realistic way, make small changes today that will have a huge impact tomorrow.

And don't sit on this information because if you do you will forget what you have learned. The key to success is rapidly applying new information!
