For starters, penny stocks are a lot cheaper than normal stocks a lot of retail traders and of trading them simply because they cannot afford to trade normal stocks. This is very true when it comes to penny stocks and a lot of traders trade them because it helps lower their commissions. Trading larger cap stocks is often a bit more complex as well, since a larger company has more factors working into it.

Penny stocks are quicker than normal stocks simply because the volume is a lot lower. Because of that, a penny stock is going to move 20% for every two or 3% than a standard stock might move. This brings a lot of traders into the penny stock market simply because they are looking for fast profit opportunities in micro caps are perfect place to get those.

Last of all, traders enjoy penny stocks because their relative gains are typically higher than standard stocks. Since the penny stock is already so low, there is very little else the stock can do other than go up in a lot of circumstances. And when it does, it is proportionally a lot higher of an increase than you would see with a normal stock.
