So easy... yet so often screwed up.

Business Cards.

"Maestro, are you kidding me? Business cards are for cubicle-dwellers. I'm a wholesaler! Gimme something I can use!"

(Sigh...) Excuses, excuses, excuses. And you know how The Maestro feels about excuses, right?

Ok, now it's time to get real. Where to get your cards and what they need to say.

You can get them locally, at a printing shop, or online. I lile to support local businesses, but you will pay more. The best card, which I talk about next, is the money business card, which you can get at ezsigns.net.

Success Tip 1

The "money" business card is straight... money. Leave it on tables, desks or right on the ground. And watch the people pick it up. You would, too. Trust me. Again, go to ezsigns.net to get them. Or, you can go to Google, and search, "money business card."

Make sure you write what you do on the front of the card. The absolute biggest, most often occurring mistake I see investors make, is putting their business name on the card. Most people put it really big, and right in the middle, too. I mean, a prospective seller does NOT want to cast their eyes upon Joe Schmoe's Investment Group as the first thing they see. Now, all of a sudden, you're a company... instead of a sympathetic regular person.

House-Flipping Tip 2

Your card is an important part of your marketing. Make sure you do it right!

Look, business cards suck. But you know what? Every card you hand out could mean thousands of dollars to you. You think I'm lying?

This is how The Maestro does it:

Order your cards, either online or from a local printing shop. Order a bunch... like 1,000.

Determine now how many, each day, you are going to give out. Here's a quick hint: make it at least five. And yes, you are going to have to give them to people you don't know. Get over it.

Always give out two to each person (Two cards to one person counts as one toward your daily goal. Don't be cheatin' now...).

Always, always, always offer CASH as a referral. "Mr. So-and-So, my name is Joe Schmoe and I am a real estate investor. I purchase homes with cash, and close quickly. If you, or anyone you know, needs to sell their home fast, please let me know. Oh, and I offer $500 cash for any referral that turns into a deal. Take care."

Success Tip 3

This is small, but very important. Look, laziness and complacency will absolutely kill your business... and income. If you are lazy, or procrastinate, with the small stuff, you will undoubtedly do it with the big stuff, too.

"But Maestro, I feel like a schmuck handing out cards to strangers. This sounds stupid. I want to focus my time on more important things. It's just not for me..."

Uh... nice attitude. Look, I can't change the way you think. But, I can sure as hell explain what your life will be like if you continue with this type of attitude. It'll be the exact same it is right now. How's that workin' out for you?

... this isn't much that much of a sacrifice. Trust me.
