You will find a few companies out there that have made good acquisitions and have solid balance sheets. When you see these two things in a company it usually says there is going to be solid growth for the next few years. Lets see who is growing and moving.

CVS Caremark Corp.

They have just recently bought up longs drug stores and now are the largest retail pharmacy chain in the nation today. You could look for some steady growth out of this company in the next few years. At $28

Kohl's Stores.

This retail chain is in the perfect position to reap all the benefits of the economic comeback. They are not quite as high end as Macy's, but more high end than Wal-Mart. When the economy took a down turn, people went shopping at Wal-Mart. When the swing comes back, Kohl's, part department store, part discount store, is going to get the shoppers on the way back up. Oracle is slowly gaining a huge market share with it's database company. They have acquired People Soft, Bea and Seybold, and are now positioned as a very well balanced company.
