Everybody wants to make money by trading stocks, however most traders don't. In fact 90% of traders who do get into the stock market fail to make money by trading stocks. Most people actually lose money. If you are starting to get into the stock market don't let those numbers deter you. Anybody can make money trading the stock market, but you cannot do it by following the mass and making the same mistakes over and over again. If you really want to make money from the market here are a few stock tips that can help you out. 1. Stop Asking For "Expert" Opinions on Stocks Of course having a mentor is a great thing. They can help you to achieve your goals and learn a lot more on how stocks actually work. But that does not mean you should ask every "expert" you find what you should do. Everybody looks at the market slightly differently. The best thing to do is to simply learn how the stock market works and develop your own strategy out of that. Instead of asking an expert what they think of a specific stock what about asking them how they trade and what do they look for when picking stocks. That will help you out a lot more. 2. Become an Expert Yourself The next step you can take is to become an expert yourself. Learn as much as you can about the stock market and how it works and then create a system based off of what you have learned. 3. Backtest and Papertrade Your Strategies Of course just because you come up with a strategy does not mean that the strategy is going to work to make you money. If you want it to work out then you will have to backtest and papertrade that strategy. Backtesting is the process of looking at how stock performed in the past and more importantly how your strategy would have performed in the past. Papertrading on the other hand means going out and trading with your strategy but with a "fake" account. This way you can get a better idea on how effective your strategy actually is. Is your strategy making you money? Is it losing you money? That is an important thing to know. DISCLAIMER: This article is provided as information only and is not to be taken as financial advice.
