Are you one of those many individuals who plan to spend their retirement in Costa Rica? Do you want to spend the twilight years of your life in peace and tranquility amidst nature in its splendid beauty? If you did, then, this article will be of great benefit to you. Costa Rica brings a lot of peace and tranquility to a stressed mind. The soothing atmosphere and the picturesque landscape act as great comforters. Retirement in Costa Rica is a much preferred option because this country has been blessed with natural ethereal beauty and serenity which is a must after years of stress and struggle. The people in Costa Rica are very warm and laid back. Nobody here, in this place, seems to be in a hurry. Hence, this place is haven as compared to the cities where people live in all their lives trying to earn their daily bread. Spending their retirement in Costa Rica is a dream nurtured by many professionals in the United States of America because Costa Rica gives them an opportunity to experience life without its struggles and pains. It gives them the joy of taking life one day at a time without worrying much about their future. The cost of living in Costa Rica is much less as compared to the United States of America. Hence, the retired professional can lead a comfortable life with the amount they have saved up during their working years. A lot of people from the United States of America purchase beach homes in Costa Rica to spend the latter part of their lives. A calm, peaceful walk in the mornings on the beach hand-in-hand with the your loved one with whom you spent years of your life but not spent much time with, a relaxing afternoon sitting on the porch of your lovely home and a stroll on the shimmering sands of the beach in the moonlight and much more is what Costa Rica has in store for a retired professional. Costa Rica is not very far from the USA. This is another reason why most Americans prefer to spend their retirement here than any other country in the world. The fact that they are still close to home and can go there soon in case of emergencies is a very consoling fact. Also, Costa Rica already has a number of Americans who have made this place their home. This is again helpful since they will not feel alienated in the new place. They will still have people they can relate to. Not only United States of America, but people from countries all over the world and now flying to this beautiful land to find themselves a piece of paradise. There are two aspects which people coming here will have to look into before making this place their home. One is the social aspect. For people from America, the social culture in Costa Rica will come as a shock. Costa Ricans are very casual and laid back in nature. They are not is a rush to get anything done. This will come as a shock to foreigners, especially Americans, who believe in the concept of "time is money". Costa Ricans, or "ticos" as they are called, are not very punctual and hence work does not get done efficiently which is something an American has to be prepared for. Except for these two considerations to make, retirement in Costa Rica is nothing to ponder about. Costa Rica is a paradise on earth. You should experience the feeling of staying in paradise once in your lifetime. So, if you are retiring, then, Costa Rica is place to which you should be heading.
