Your new home is a huge investment. It makes sense to reduce the risk of extra costs - and the way to do this is with a fixed price with your builder

A fixed price contract is your guarantee there will be no increases or decrease "SURPRISES" in the contract value. So as long as there are no variations (eg. upgrades in cookware packages, kitchen finishes "stone bench tops", "tile & carpet" selections, the contract value will NOT change.

One secret to getting your home built to your absolute happiness, on time and on budget is to use a great colour consultant. He or she will allow every item that is to be included to be clearly selected, priced and available when it is time to install it! This one step can also ensure that your home is built on time - not just on budget.

Once all of your selections are made, all price variations, if there are any, can be priced and signed off on so both owners and builder know exactly where they stand at all times. One of the things I value most is knowing that everyone [including our builder team] knows where we are at all times. This can save a lot of stress and heartache - and it also allows us to get on with the job of building your Townsville home both on time, and with the highest quality we can insert.

It also allows us to keep to our new "80 Working Day Construction Guarantee". There is a saying that every hour spent planning is worth 8 hours of working. When it comes to home building - I think this we have proven this to be definitely true.

It does not mean that it has to take stacks of hours to get the planning done - it just means being organized - and that is what we are great at. Because we are organized, we can ensure that your new home fits exactly with what you dreamed of.

So - great idea number one for building your home - Fixed Price Building Agreements! If your builder does not like the idea - talk to a few more builders.
