As an entrepreneur with a strong commerce background, when it comes to potential investments and products I am much less interested in the "hype" of it than in market research and trend analysis I do to decided whether that particular investment or product is profitable. This is exactly the process I went through in order to evaluate Mobile Mass Money, an e-commerce course generating great hype. Mobile Mass Money claims to provide investors with the opportunity to leverage the lucrative world of mobile marketing. Sales letter aside (and I must say that I was very impressed with the sales letter), the only reason you, I, or any investor would buy this course would be based on the profitability of the mobile market. Because at the end of the day, return on investment is all you should be concerned with.

After undertaking some market research and analysis the answer to whether mobile marketing is a profitable enough industry is YES, and it is capitalised for a reason. For simplicity sake, I decided to focus on the US market to show how the mobile marketing industry can translate into a handsome return on investment

In order to keep this report as bias free as possible, my findings are based on a report done by 360i, an award-winning digital agency specializing in search engine marketing, social media, mobile marketing and web design and development, which analysed the power of mobile marketing. It outlined ten important facts about mobile marketing, of which I am going to discuss only five (you can read the rest on my blog):

1."Over 90% of the US population are mobile subscribers"! In essence, that means with the right mobile marketing software, you have access to 90% of the US population.

2. "Mobile Internet usage is taking off"! With over 83 million internet users in the US in 2010, the profit potential is very appealing. That's 83 million potential online customers who are already comfortable with spending higher rates to use the internet on their mobile than at home.

3. "Smartphone competition is expanding the audience that can access mobile rich content"! What that means for an investor is that there is more ad space being viewed by a larger audience. And the more people see you ad, the greater probability you have of making a sale

4. "Mobile has proven great for branding"! Whether you already have your own brand or an existing brand, the power of mobile marketing will provide you with instant access to market share and market reputation by improving your brand.

5. "Mobile Marketing is more than just a single marketing channel"! The ability to send anything from coupon codes to videos presents a wide array of opportunity to engage potential consumers.

Lastly, I must apologise to all of you for whom the above was too technical. I am not a copywriter or salesman. I am an entrepreneur with a strong commerce background who basis his investment decisions purely on market research and analysis. Thus, from what I have researched, Mobile Mass Money has selected a very profitable market to target. The results reported by their beta-testers have been nothing short of excellent. However, this does seem like a first come, first serve course as the concept of mobile marketing is still relatively new and thus the money making opportunities may be limited. However, there is little doubt that serious entrepreneurs will take advantage and heavily profit from this software. I hope you are one of them.
