Most people know that saving extra money is a good thing. However they will not take the time to do anything about it. They just spend their money and feel bad about it afterwards, or they just say that they will start saving money in the future.

One way to get around this is to have a saving and investing goal. For example if you decide to put $300 each month into an investment account and treat it like a bill that has to be paid every month then one way or another you will find a way to pay it.

This helps you to save money whether you want to or not.

Finally investing can be a terrific way to grow your money over the long term and set yourself up in the future. Investing for the long term can be pretty nice if you can keep setting aside money and keep learning how to best invest your money. It can even lead to financial freedom if done correctly.
